Ariane Audett was crowned Miss Alaska USA 2016 on December 5, 2015 by the outgoing queen Kimberly Agron in Anchorage. She will have the opportunity to compete at the 2016 Miss USA Pageant where she hopes to be crowned by the reigning Miss USA Olivia Jordan from Oklahoma. At the same event, Nneamaka Isolokwu was crowned Miss Alaska Teen USA 2016 by the departing queen, Katelyn Cusack.
Ariane Audett is a student in biological sciences at the University of Alaska at Anchorage. She seeks to become a physician in future. If she goes on to win this pageant, her victory would make her the first titleholder from Alaska to wear the Miss USA crown. The highest-placing contestant from Alaska, so far, is Miss Alaska USA 1964 Patricia Marlin, who was titled as second runner-up at Miss USA. Miss Alaska USA 2015 Kimberly Agron was voted Miss Congeniality by fellow contestants at the national pageant. She shared the award with Miss Delaware USA 2015 Renee Bull.

The newly crowned beauty queen posed for shutterbugs post her crowning and gleefully expressed her concerns with the paparazzi. The wonderful diva, Ariane stated: “I grew up homeless a lot of my life, in and out of foster care, different homes, kind of grew up without a lot of hope. And I wish that when I was younger I had someone to tell me, ‘you know, hey, you can do this, you know, follow your dreams.’ And that was something I had to learn on my own, but I hope that with this title I can, you know, share that story with as many people as I can.”

Ariane Audett also expressed: “I have an exciting year ahead of me! I will be preparing to represent the state of Alaska at the Miss USA national pageant late in the summer. I will be using my title to promote the national platform, Breast and Ovarian Cancer Prevention and Awareness, in addition to helping with other charitable causes. I will also be focusing on helping homeless youth and those from disadvantaged backgrounds to pursue success by sharing my own personal story and continuing to work with local organizations. “
The beauty queen also stated that throughout this year, there will be many expenses that will need to come out of her own pocket during her year of reign and in preparing to compete for the title of Miss USA 2016. Since Ariane is a full time college student, she does not get to work as many hours as she would like to. To overcome this dilemma, she has come forward with an appeal to donation!
