Global Asian Model Philippines 2019 hosted its coronation night recently where Ashley Subijano Montenegro was crowned the first ever Miss Charm Philippines. She will now represent Philippines in Miss Charm International 2020.
Ashley comes from a family of pageant queens as she the daughter of Miss World 1994 Top 10 Finisher Caroline Subijano. The stunning Filipina beauty was crowned by Annalita Vizcarra, a fashion model and Aces and Queens winner. She turned to her mother for advice as she entered the pageant.

Her mother gave her the most genuine advice as she was competing for the crown, "My dear Anak, look at how far you've come, the things you've learned, & the people you've met. Remember that little list of goals you wanted to achieve back in June, how you gave yourself a year to accomplish them? Look at you now! You've achieved them already- so with or without a title, you are already a winner."
For Ashley, winning is not the ultimate goal, what matters the most is the journey and whoever is the best will represent Philippines internationally. She took to her social media to reveal her emotions in a post captioned, “After accepting that I thanked God for all the blessings, reminded him of how much I trusted in his Plan for me, whatever that may be. As long as whoever the judges felt would be the best, I would be happy, even if she would not be me. Thankfully, everyone believed in me. And now, I believe in myself.”
