Binibining Pilipinas 2015 came to an end and Philippines shined in the glory of its five new queens for the year 2015, where Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2015, Janicel Lubina was crowned Bb Pilipinas International 2015, Christi Lyn McGarry was crowned Bb Pilipinas Intercontinental 2015, Rogelie Catacutan was crowned Bb Pilipinas Supranational 2015, Ann Lorraine Colis was crowned Bb Pilipinas Tourism International 2015.
The pageant finale witnessed the thirty-four beauties sashaying the runway looking nothing less than a dream walking the stage. While many were successful in impressing the spectators, looking absolutely mesmerizing in their respective graceful gowns, there were several who made us wonder why a designer would scandalize his creation on a mammoth national platform of Bb Pilipinas 2015. No seriously, there were gowns that reminded us of all kinds of vegetables and animals and everything else, but nothing closer to any adjectives expressing beauty. So we have decided and shortlisted few of our favourites and few not so favourites (as this was the best way we could have been sober about it) evening gowns of the Bb Pilipinas 2015 finale eve… Shockingly (not really) challenging the best in evening gown results for the pageant!!
Let’s first take a look at the best gowns of the evening, that were a delight to the viewers eyes..
Binibini 12, Kylie Verzosa wore a blue colored shimmering front slit gown. It was a tube bodycon gown with detailed intricate stoned work. Tanya Angelina Nicole Hyde Binibini 20 stunned the stage and left the viewers awestruck when she walked the runway wearing a gorgeous looking bubble gum pink ruffled gown. Binibini 24 Ann Lorraine Colis spelled a hypnotizing moment into the minds of the onlookers when she swayed unblemished in her ice blue gown. No one could have painted the town red better than the way Rogelie Catacutan, Binibini 25 did in her netted empire waist red gown. Finally, Teresita Ssen Marquez, Binibini 34 adorned the stage and looked breathtakingly stunning in a beige colored mermaid shaped gown, with intricate work on satin and net fabric.
Moving on to the next section of gowns, that made us shout out loud, “For the Love of God!!”
Don’t know what was the idea behind the gown of Binibini 3 Ria Rabajante. The vaguely structured embellishment on an overly flashy blue gown couldn’t do justice in accentuating the best out of the beauty. Following the league we have, Binibini 5 Caneille Faith Santos, whose gown was probably sutured with an idea to make her stand out among the crowd... Well this probably served the purpose exceptionally good. Okay, Binibini 10, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach was hard to defy, oh no not because she was crowned as Miss Universe Philippines 2015, but because we couldn’t figure out how to delineate her excessively heavy and awfully hackneyed gown. Well if the winner’s gown among the worst wasn’t enough, we have the name of the best in gown on our worst gowns list too. Yes yes… talking about Binibini 11, Janicel Lubina who wore a cream colored Plane Jane gown with “okay let’s include some work on it” blue adornment. We believe there could have been something much more superior to the detailing of the gown. Last on the slot of worst gown we have, Patricia Lae Ejercitado, Binibini 30, who wore a fish cut gown, with prints that looked like fish scale and well the gown let down Patricia Lae, is all we can say.
