The grand coronation night of Binibining Pilipinas 2015 held on March 15’ 2015 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City, Philippines concluded with the crowning of Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach as Miss Universe Philippines 2015.

Let us have a look at the winning answer to the question posed to the winners of Bb Pilipinas from the years 2010 to 2015.

Venus Raj (Miss Universe Philippines 2010 & Fourth runner-up in Miss Universe 2010)

Question from actress Claudine Barretto: “How far would you go to achieve your dreams?”

Answered by Venus: “Thank you so much, ma’am. I think to achieve my dreams I will really do my best in everything that I can do to really achieve what I want in life. Because at the end of the day, it is only me whom I can lean on, it is only myself who can help me a lot. So I think I would prefer to be with myself and to have God within me so I can achieve every dream that I want. Thank you.”

Shamcey Supsup (Miss Universe Philippines 2011, and Third runner-up in Miss Universe 2011)

Question from Hugh Wilson: “With what worthy cause do you identify yourself and why?”

Answered by Shamcey: “I think one worthy cause I can identify myself is valuing education because I believe that education is something that cannot be taken away from you. You can have money, you can have fame. But in the end, it can be taken from you. But education will always be there to help you in your life.”

Janine Tugonon (Miss Philippines Universe 2012, and First runner-up in Miss Universe 2012)

Question from Juan Manuel Romualdez: “Many women nowadays forego a happy family life for a successful career. How do you feel about this?”

Answered by Janine: “I believe that women have the right to choose between what they want. But for me, you have to go for what God has called you to do, whatever it is, between the two. You must do what your purpose in life is in this world. Just have a child-like faith and mature obedience, and everything will go smooth.”

Bb Pilipinas 2010 to 2015 Winners

Ariella Arida (Miss Philippines Universe 2013, and Third runner-up in Miss Universe 2013)

Question from then Philippine National Police director general Alan Purisima: “Name a lesson about life that women can teach men.”

Answered by Ariella: “One lesson in life that women can teach men is being sensitive because we all know that men are more logical when it comes to decision[-making]. They’re usually more rational, straightforward. Unlike us women, we use our hearts and tend to get emotional in some of our decisions. So, that’s it for me. Sensitivity is something that we, women, can teach to men. Thank you.”

Mary Jean Lastimosa (Miss Philippines Universe 2014, and Top 10 in Miss Universe 2014)

Question from Miss Universe 2013 Gabriela Isler: “March is the women’s month. For you, what is the greatest advantage of being a woman?”

Answered by MJ: “The greatest advantage of being a woman is being able to compose herself. Just like here, we’re standing in front of thousands of people, not knowing if you’re going to cheer for us or boo us. But we try to compose ourselves. We keep the emotions and show the beauty that is in us and tonight, thousands of people are standing here, celebrating the beauty of women.”

Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach (Miss Philippines Universe 2015)

Question from Congress Woman Leni Robredo: "Social media is now a very powerful tool of communication. Can you tell us about your thoughts on internet censorship?"

Answered by Pia:  "I think that we should be careful with what we post online, especially our thoughts and our opinions so that we don’t hurt anybody. Especially selfies, we have to be careful with what we post especially with our bodies and our faces. So, always think before you click. Thank You!"
