A day after the successful Binibiining Pilipinas 2021 finale, Beatriz Vasquez Awatin was officially and formally introduced to the media as Miss Progress Philippines 2021, during the press conference held Monday, July 12th at ALEX III Restaurant in Greenhills San Juan City. She will represent Philippines in the Miss Progress International 2021 pageant that will be held from September 24th to October 3rd at Puglia, Italy.
The 26 years-old Beatrice also popularly known as Zea, is a cum laude graduate of BA International Studies and currently finishing her Master’s Degree in International Relations at De La Salle University. She also works as a sales manager for a top real estate company.
During her meet and greet event, Zea revealed how she got the title of Miss Progress Philippines 2021. "I applied for it. I saw a post that they're looking for a candidate. Then we had several interviews and online presentation," she told the press.
She applied in Miss World Philippines but unfortunately she did not make it to the official roster of candidates and as an aspiring beauty queen, her fellow queens could learn one or two about her when it comes to chasing your pageant dream. Instead of sulking over her non-selection, she tried to look for a pageant which complements her skillset as an aspiring beauty queen, upon the advice by her mentors.
At the forthcoming pageant, Miss Progress International 2021, Philippines will be represented by Beatriz and her project about human rights. "I'm mostly preparing for the project because that's the big chunk of the pointing system. I'm coordinating with the Non-Profit Organization (NPO) on what we could do or what can I do for their community,” she shared as she talked about her Project Pearls advocacy, a project which aims to help children get out of poverty.
Beatriz is a fighter and a strong headed diva who is determined to represent her country and win the international crown. She has already been training with Kagandahang Flores Camp, the same camp that trained several international beauty queen winners.
