At the conclusion of the splendid finale of Miss Kyrgyzstan 2017, held on 5th April 2017 in Bishkek, 19 year old Begimay Karybekova was crowned as the winner. Begimay defeated 16 other contestants to clinch the title of Miss Kyrgyzstan 2017. She will now represent Kyrgyzstan at the Miss World 2017 pageant to be held in December.

At the same pageant, Aichurok Mamatemirova was crowned as the first vice-miss and Gulzada Islambek kyzy became the second vice-miss. Aiperi Melisbek kyzy won the People’s Choice award. In addition to winning the crown and the title, Begimay also received a certificate for 100 thousand Kyrgyz soms.

The pageant started with the introduction of the 17 finalists. The girls competed through different segments, including, an Kyrgyz dance show, national costume competition, talent show, Q&A contest, evening gown competition and flashmob. After successfully competing through all the rounds, the winner and the runners-up were announced.

Begimay is not new to the world of pageantry, and has previously won Grand Prix in Miss Tourism Eurasia. She has also represented the country at the Top Model Of The World 2016, and also earned the right to compete at Miss Intercontinental 2016 pageant. Her experience of pageantry will surely come handy while competing at the Miss World 2017 pageant. With proper grooming and training, Begimay might succeed in bringing good placement for the country at the Miss World pageant.
