This year is the season of crossovers in beauty pageants all over the world. The impact, however, seems to be the most in Philippines, with Miss World Philippines 2016 Catriona Gray not only competing but also winning Binibining Pilipinas 2018. Now Miss Globe Philippines 2017 Nelda Ibe has also been hinting at her bid for Miss World Philippines 2018.
That got us wondering, if, this could encourage our Binibinis of 2018 to go ahead and contest for the crown of the upcoming Miss World Philippines 2018. Laura Victoria Lehmann was crowned as Miss World Philippines 2017 in an event graced by ex-Miss World Philippines titleholders - Catriona, Megan, Hillary, Valerie and Miss World 2016 Stephanie Del Valle Diaz, who was also a jury member. Now, she will pass on the coveted title, and the crown of Miss World Philippines to a worthy contestant this year.
Now, it would not be wrong to believe, that some faces that came onto Binibining Pilipinas 2018, would have been the perfect ones to walk the ramp at its biggest rival pageant in Philippines, Miss World Philippines.
Thus, here is a list of the ladies, that might take home the crown, if they decided to compete for the Miss World Philippines 2018 crown.
Binibini 1 Vickie Rushton
One of the sweetest contenders in the race of Bininbining Pilipinas 2018, Vickie Rushton’s life struggles is inspiring on many levels. She has faced all her life hurdles with love, compassion and patience. Strong young women who have a heart of gold, Vickie is beautiful both from inside and outside. She looked super adorable when she shared her most embarrassing moment in a national pageant, about how she forgot her lyrics while singing in front of large audience.
Honesty is definitely a quality Miss World Philippines 2018 would have plenty of is Vickie decides to place her bid.
Binibini 3 Muriel Orais
Muriel is well acquainted with the pageantry world as she took part in Miss Philippines Earth in 2011 and was crowned Miss Philippines Water 2011. Not just this, she was also the winner of Miss Olive-C Campus Model 2010. Though she went low-profile after her run in these beauty pageants but now she’s back with a bang.
But what makes us believe she might return is this statement she made; “I am in it to win it. It is my dream to represent the Philippines in an international pageant.”
Maybe Miss World Philippines 2018 will help her live her dream.
Binibini 11 Aya Abesamis
Maria Andrea Verdadero Abesamis (Aya Abesamis) is the daughter of Miss Universe 1984 3rd Runner-Up Desiree Verdadero and husband JB Abesamis. She has been a part of Professional Models Association of the Philippines (PMAP).
Aya definitely surpassed everyone’s expectations at Binibining Pilipinas 2018, and will surely superceed her competition at Miss world Philippines 2018 if she decides to join it.
Binibini 26 Wynonah Buot
Wynonah Joy Buot is someone who everyone can relate to. With her humble background she values hard-work, discipline, perseverance and that is definitely going take her far ahead in this competition. A dark horse in the Binibining Pilipinas 2018 competition, you can’t underestimate her. She’s articulate, determined and most important, humble.
Miss World is all about Beauty With a Purpose, and this beauty is definitely working hard on hers.
Binibini 35 Sandra Lemonon
Sandra gave one of the most honest and graceful answers, to when a contestant doesn’t know the answer, in the history of pageantry. And that was not it, her personality as a healthy competitor was on display when she cheered on for Miss Universe Philippines 2018 Catriona Gray during the show. Even then, she received bashing for not being prepared for the event. However, she unapologetically owned her answer and stuck to it.
Such a quality seems quintessential for the next Miss World Philippines 2018.
