Binibining Pilipinas 2019 is all set to crown its new queens who will represent the Philippines in various international beauty pageants. Before that, the delegates have been busy preparing for the coronation night and competing in various preliminary competitions to gain a stronger foothold in the pageant.
Just last night, as a part of the 12th World Autism Awareness Day, the beautiful Filipina girls supported the event where Miss Philippines Globe 2018 Michele Gumabao was the host. The event was held in Araneta Stadium which was lit blue as it stood in solidarity with people living with autism. It is also the third year that the Coliseum is lit in blue to promote awareness, acceptance, and appreciation, increase understanding and to accommodate kids living with Autism.

Open Hand School, an institution that offers special education, was there to attend the event as the delegates spent some time with these special kids. Hannah Arnold and Vickie Rushton bonded with Lauren, one of the special kids. Hannah also took to her social media to reveal the emotional bond she formed with Lauren in a post, “Thank you Binibining Pilipinas and The Araneta Centre for organising this educational and empowering event where Ate, Vickie and I were able to bond with beautiful Lauren. After our story sharing, the three of us agreed we are Lauren’s sisters now and we know she will make it far in pursuing her dreams and passion for music. Let us all remember to Appreciate, be Aware, Accept and Accommodate our brothers and sisters living with Autism.”

Other delegates also shared their feelings through their social media as everyone stood in solidarity for the cause. It is no doubt that the contestants are not only just about fashion and looking beautiful for the competition but also know what’s going on in their country that needs awareness.
