Binibining Pilipinas 2019 queens get together with Binibining Pilipinas 2020 delegates to raise funds virtually

The 57th edition of Binibining Pilipinas i.e., Bininbining Pilipinas 2020 will be held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Philippines. Binibining Pilipinas 2020 will award four titles to Philippine representatives to four major international beauty pageants which are Binibining Pilipinas Supranational 2020, Binibining Pilipinas International 2020, Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2020, Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2020 and Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2020.

The outbreak of Coronavirus aka Covid19 has obligated the Binbining Pilipina Organization to postpone the pre-pageant activities keeping the safety of everyone involved in the beauty pageant in mind. The Organization announced that they have suspended all the pre-pageant activities from 12th March 2020 until further notice via their social media accounts.

The organization with the support of all the Binibini Queens are focusing on aiding help the community get through this very challenging period. The reigning queens along with the delegates of Binibining Pilipinas 2020 has been helping the organization raise funds virtually from their respective homes for their #TogetherWeHeal fund-raising campaign. This initiative aims to help indigent families in Metro Manila who are affected by the enhanced community quarantine.

The campaign started by the Binibining Pilipinas Organization #TogetherWeHeal has been started off to raise not only funds but also the awareness among people to help the ones who are working for our safety day and night. They need basic amenities like face masks, gloves, food supplies and much more. With the help of the funds that are collected under the campaign, the organization aims to provide some amenities to the community including the families of the affected and make this lockdown easy and possible.

During the live video chat conducted on 3rd April 2020, Binibini No. 8 Meiji Cruz, Binibini No. 10 Shaira Marie Rona, Binibini No. 3 Lois Anne Badando, Binibini No. 01 Samantha Alexandra Panlilio, Binibini No. 4 Patrizia Mariah Garcia, Binibini No. 06 Princess Kien Guanzon, Binibini No. 9 Patricia Babista, Binibinin No. 02 Rowena Sasuluya and Binibini No. 05 Arianne Deseree Viardo along with Miss Intercontinental Philippines 2019 Emma Tiglao shared their regime during the social distancing period. The next session of live video chat included Miss Universe Philippines 2019 Gazini Ganados and Binibini Pilipinas Grand International 2019 Aya Abesamis along with Binibini Pilipinas 2020 delegates from Binibini No. 11- 20 i.e, Maureen Ann Montagne, Vianca Louise Marcelo, Samantha Mae Bernardo, Hazel Joy Ortiz, Cinderella Faye Obeñita, Alexandra Mae Rosales, Justine Beatrice Felizarta, Karen Laurrie Mendoza, Kimberly Anne Tiquestiques and Ana Thea Cenarosa. The delegates spoke about the new activities they have been practicing and taking up in order to stay busy and make most of the time.

The next session of live video chat was conducted on 4th April 2020 with Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2019 Leren Bautista and Binibining Pilipinas 2019 Supranational Resham Saeed along with Binibini No. 21. Hannah Consencino Arnold, Binibini No. 22 Maria Ruth Erika Quin, Binibini No. 23 Gabrielle Camille Basiano, Binibini No. 24 Lovely Mercado, Binibini No. 25 Carina Cariño, Binibini No. 26 Czarina Joy Guiao, Binibini No. 27 Jashmin Lyn Dimaculangan, Binibini No. 28 Maria Francesca Taruc, Binibini No. 29 Honey Grace Cartasano, and Binibini No. 30 Noriza Mae Valerio. The queens spoke about the daily challenges that one must face while staying indoors and how they are managing to overcome the over-whelming feeling. Some are reading books, working out, helping family with the daily chores, working from home etc.

 

 

The last session was conducted later in the evening where Binibining Pilipinas International 2019 Patch Magtanong along with Binibini No. 31 Graciella Sheine Lehmann,  Binibini No. 32 Danica Joy Acuña,  Binibini No. 33 Alexandra Faith Garcia, Binibini No. 34 Mercedes Pair,  Binibini No. 35 Micca Rosal, Binibini No. 36 Vickie Marie Milagrosa Rushton, Binibini No. 37 Alexangela Salvador, Binibini No. 38 Lesley Anne Ticaro, Binibini No. 39 Bellatrix Tan and Binibini No. 40 Honey Be Parreñas spoke about their every day routine along with some safety measures that one should take to stay safe during the pandemic.

The live sessions were conducted in order to raise awareness and funds for the charity which is going to help the enhanced community of the country. The queens have decided to stay positive and strong during the time and has urged their fans across the globe the same. They have also urged the fans to do their bit by donating some amount to the charities who are working relentlessly to help the people who are working day and night to ensure that people who are affected recover from the virus.

Some of the beauties mentioned that they are staying away from their families and it has been a tough experience for them but they are in regular touch with them through internet and social media. The tough times call for tough things but it is one of the essential things that needs to be done. The beauty queens who have had jobs prior to taking part in the competition have been working from home to make the most of their time.

The beauties shared their experience of staying indoors and working on themselves during the lockdown and how they are hoping all this ends so that they can come back on-stage. They have advised the people to stay safe and indoors until the government announces anything. They have also been open about their struggle at home but being positive and confident that this phase will pass soon.

Along with #TogetherWeHeal fund-raising campaign, the Binibini queens are also helping some other fund-raising campaigns who are doing their bit to help the communities in the country to deal with the pandemic.  As they said, “ Let’s help uplift each other so we can get through this health crisis together!”
