Chelsea Fernandez crowned Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2022

Binibining Pilipinas 2022, the 58th edition of Binibining Pilipinas, was held tonight at the Smart Araneta Coliseum where Chelsea Fernandez was crowned Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2022 by the outgoing Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2021 Maureen Ann Montagne.

Chelsea hails from Tacloban city and stands 170 cm tall. She holds the degree of the Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication Major in Broadcasting graduate of Asian Development College. Chelsea is not new to pageantry as she was the winner of Reyna ng Aliwan 2018 and later participated at Miss Earth Philippines 2019 and was adjudged as Miss Earth Philippines Water 2019 at the end of the event finale.

After that, she went on to be crowned Miss Bikini Philippines 2020. Now in its second year, Chelsea is also the national director of Miss FIT Philippines contest after winning its inaugural edition. Also at the finale, Nicole Borromeo was crowned Binibining Pilipinas International 2022, Gabrielle Camille Basiano was crowned Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2022 and Roberta Angela Tamondong was crowned Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2022. These ladies will represent Philippines at Miss International 2023, Miss Intercontinental 2022, and Miss Grand International 2022 respectively.

Herlene Nicole Budol was adjudged first runner-up while Stacey Daniella Gabriel was adjudged second runner-up before the national titles were given out. Both the ladies performed extremely well at the finale and were front-runners at the competition since the beginning. Top 12 also included Karen Laurrie Mendoza, Annalena Lakrini, Yllana Marie Aduana, Anna De Mesa, Diana Mackey and Jasmine Omay.
