Binibining Pilipinas 2022, the 58th edition of Binibining Pilipinas, was held tonight at the Smart Araneta Coliseum where Roberta Angela Tamondong crowned Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2022 by the outgoing queen Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2021 Samantha Panlilio.

Roberta Tamondong, also known as Ro-an, is a student from San Beda University and hails from Laguna. She is a dedicated advocate for environmental awareness and is an active volunteer for the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Philippines. She also talked about the same issue at the finale tonight, winning the audience’s and the judges’ hearts.

Also at the finale, Nicole Borromeo was crowned Binibining Pilipinas International 2022, Gabrielle Camille Basiano was crowned Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2022, Chelsea Lovely Fernandez was crowned Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2022. These ladies will represent Philippines at Miss International 2023, Miss Intercontinental 2022 and The Miss Globe 2022 respectively.

Herlene Nicole Budol, who took home the most sponsor awards, was adjudged first runner-up while Stacey Daniella Gabriel was adjudged second runner-up. Top 12 also included Karen Laurrie Mendoza, Annalena Lakrini, Yllana Marie Aduana, Anna De Mesa, Diana Mackey and Jasmine Omay.

Tamondong succeeds and was crowned by Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2021 Samantha Panlilio who went on to represent Philippines at Miss Grand International 2021 but failed to make it to Top 20. Interestingly, the country has not yet pioneered its win at Miss Grand International.
