Binibining Pilipinas officially withdraws from Miss Grand International

Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI), after almost a decade of crowning a representative to Miss Grand International, took to their official social media to announce the withdrawal from the international organization.

In an official statement released on Monday, 7th November 2022, the national organization revealed it will no longer renew its contract with Miss Grand International organization. The decision was received with applause by Filipino fans.

 

 

The official statement of Binibining Pilipinas was as follows –

“Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) officially withdraws from Miss Grand International and will no longer renew its franchise. We thank the organizers of Miss Grand International and wish them the best in their future endeavors.

With that said, we remain committed to delighting our followers and sponsors through the productions of world-class pageants that help propel Filipinas to reach their fullest potential and achieve greatness in an international stage

 

 

For almost 60 years, we have built BPCI's legacy in producing a stellar roster of international winners and over the decades we have enjoyed the immense support of our fans. We will be forever grateful for their dedication, passion, and love for Bb. Pilipinas and our Queens.”

Under BPCI, the Philippines managed to achieve two third runners-up placements with Annalie Forbes (2013) and Parul Shah (2015), one second runner-up with Elizabeth Clenci (2017), and two first runners-up with Nicole Cordoves (2016) and Samantha Mae Bernardo (2020). However, a crown was not won.

Miss Grand International 2020 fifth runner-up Roberta Tamondong has officially become the last representative from Binibining Pilipinas. Now, the organization only holds Miss International as its main title with Miss Intercontinental, and The Miss Globe titles.
