At the magnificent finale of Miss Universe Spain 2015, 25 years old Carla García Barber was crowned Miss Universe Spain 2015 in Marbella during the Festival Starlite de la Costa del Sol held on July 30’ 2015. Carla will now represent Spain at the Miss Universe 2015 pageant. Garcia succeeds Desiré Cordero who made the top 10 in Miss Universe 2014 pageant in Doral, Florida.
Carla, who is a medical graduate was the favourite for the crown and is not someone who is new to the world of pageantry. In 2010 she was the first runner-up of Paula Guillo, Miss Spain 2010. Then she represented Spain at Miss World 2011 in London where she made the TOP 15. She aspires to travel to Africa to help all those affected by AIDS and malaria. She loves adventure and likes spending her time cycling, reading and scuba diving. She abides by the motto - ‘the beauty that first attracts is rarely the same beauty that wins the heart.’
“The day I began working at the hospital and learned humanity and love are the qualities of human beings that can appear in the most unimaginable places.”, says Carla. The beauty queen loves travelling, learning about different cultures, and taste different cuisines. She considers herself as happy, extroverted, responsible, hardworking and perseverant.
