Christina Denny crowned Miss Maryland USA 2016

Christina Denny has been crowned Miss Maryland USA 2016 by the reigning Miss Maryland USA, Mamé Adjei, at the conclusion of the state pageant. The beauty pageant was held on November 1, 2015 at the Marriott Hotel & the Convention Center in Bethesda. Christina will now represent her state at the 2016 Miss USA Pageant, where she hopes to get crowned by the reigning Miss USA Olivia Jordan from Oklahoma.

Hailing from a census-designated place - Owning Mills Maryland, Denny defeated 54 other finalists to clinch the crown of the Miss Miss Maryland USA 2016.

At the same event, Kirsten Nicholson was adjudged the first runner-up, Adrianna David was titled as the second runner-up. While Rebecca Kissoon emerged as the third runner-up, Chelsea Boone finished as fourth runner-up.

Previously, Denny has represented Maryland at the 2014 Miss America Pageant, held at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. She then managed to make it to the Top 10 finalists list.

Denny is a teacher at the Echelon Academy in Olney, a school for children with learning disabilities. She teaches students between sixth and tenth grades. The 24-years-old is a graduate of the University of Maryland, and she hopes to study speech pathology in graduation.
