Back to Back win for Dominicans! Clarissa Molina has been crowned as the new beauty queen for “Nuestra Belleza Latina” in its VIP edition, which brought the past season’s contestants for another shot at the coveted crown.
She was crowned by her fellow Dominican and last year’s winner Francisca Lachapel at the end of the grand finale that left everyone celebrating.
At the same coronation night, Setareh Khatibi from Colombia was announced as the first runner up and was awarded the CEA Scholarship. Catherine Castro from Puerto Rico was adjudged as second runner up and Bárbara Turbay from Colombia was titled as third runner up of “Nuestra Belleza Latina VIP”.

The pageant veteran, Clarissa Molina (also known a Clarissa Molina Contrera) is a celebrated Dominican model who won Miss Dominican Republic 2015 and represented the Dominican Republic at Miss Universe 2015 pageant. She later won the title of Nuestra Belleza Latina 2015 after having placed fourth Runner-Up the previous year.
The dazzling gala night started with a blazing hot performance by Julión Álvarez y su Norteño Banda (the renowned Mexican singer and songwriter). Later, the electrifying performance featured the four finalists: Colombian Setareh Khatibi, Puerto Rican Catherine Castro, Dominican Clarissa Molina and Colombian Bárbara Turbay dancing along with a choreographed routine in shiny red dresses.

Bárbara Turbay was the first one to take the stage, with judges assigning her to host her own news show as her last challenge. Last season’s winner, Francisca Lachapel, joined the contestants as they read the news, which all of the judges appreciated.
Showcasing their poise and modishness, the contestants took one last walk down the runway in their evening gowns. Later, they went on to exhibit their sassiness and spunk in their hot bikinis as Wisin (celebrated musician) came on stage to perform his hit “Corazón Acelerao” before announcing the third finalist.
