Sara Belkziz crowned as Miss Morocco 2016

Sara Belkziz has been crowned as Miss Morocco 2016 at the end of the coronation night of Miss Morocco 2016 held on 21 May, 2016 at the Morocco Mall in Casablanca. She succeeds Miss Morocco 2015, Fatima Zahra El Hor.

At the same event, Saloua Bergayou of Casablanca was adjudged the first runner up while, the second and third runner up title was respectively won by Yassmine Bennani of Fez and Racha Racha Zair of Casablanca.

Sara Belkziz will now represent her country Morocco at the forthcoming Miss World 2016 pageant slated to be held later this year.

Sara clinched the crown after defeating 15 other gorgeous Moroccans and also received the highest number of votes from her fellow Moroccans, through a voting poll at social media.

The contestants of Miss Morocco 2016 competed against each other in challenging rounds such as evening gowns and the symbolic Moroccan caftans.

During the first stage of the coveted pageant, Miss Morocco 2016, 16 young Moroccan women were chosen to spend a 10-day training under the supervision of ace coaches and professionals in the fields of choreography, communication, and personal development.

 The beauty queen Sara Belkziz will be the Moroccan ambassador to promote Morocco’s National Tourism and Culture.

The last time Miss Morocco competed at a major international pageant was in the year 2012.
