Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters has married famed footballer Tim Tebow in an 'intimate sunset ceremony' in her home country of South Africa.

The former NFL star Tim Tebow earlier talked about how he proposed to his fiancée, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, on their first Valentine's Day as an engaged couple. The former Heisman Trophy winner and two-time college football national champion said he planned dozens of surprises for the former Miss Universe 2017 when he popped the question with a 7.25-carat ring in January. The pair then celebrated in South Africa, particularly the Disneyland. The wedding day was then announced, as both of the starlets posted on their official page about it.

Finally, last week, both of the stars tied the knot of their love. The couple held their half-hour nuptials at the La Paris Estate in Cape Town, according to People magazine. It following a weekend of glamorous pre-wedding celebrations which he documented on social media.

Tim, 32, a devout Christian who vowed to stay abstinent until marriage, mixed tradition with a personal touch for his vows, wanting them to be 'perfect.' 'I want the vows to be perfect. I'm leaving in the traditional things like, 'till death do us part,' but I'm also adding some of my own things to it,' he explained. The cake was left to the wedding planner to decide, but the only request made by the couple for dessert was a Keto-friendly cheesecake so that 'Tim can stick to his

Event planner and Wedding Bashers star Zavion Kotze helped Demi get the wedding of her dreams. Both Zavion and Demi shared the news on their Instagram accounts. 

Nel-Peters wore a custom gown from David’s Bridal while Tebow wore a tuxedo by Antar Levar. The ceremony and reception featured a mix of traditions from America and South Africa, including regional food such as steak, pasta, mussels, and assorted cheeses.

“We’re both very traditional,” Nel-Peters admitted. “We wanted to look back at the wedding and see that it was intimate, elegant, and traditional. We definitely wanted it to be something that we could look back on and know that nothing was dated. We want to remember this day for the rest of our lives”, she added.
