Former Miss World, Diana Hayden who was crowned in 1997 gave birth to a baby girl this weekend, which the couple has named as “Arya”.  Diana married Collin Dick two years back, and the couple resides in the United States.

Diana was crowned as Miss World 1997 on November 22, 1997 in the Seychelles by outgoing title holder Irene Skliva. As Miss World, Diana Hayden created a history by being the only Miss World who bagged the maximum titles at the pageant, thereby winning it all. In the competition, Diana was honored as Miss Photogenic and Miss Beach Beauty.

Diana is the highest earner in her Miss World year than all previous winners, she made more money than any other Miss World.  Diana was signed on by huge cosmetics firm L’Oreal as the lead model, immediately after she finished her reign as Miss World. She is the first Indian model ever to appear on International television modeling products and is still a very sought after and admired model in the International circuit.

Diana has also written a book called “A Beautiful Guide” which is an information bank of grooming and deals with personality development and confidence building criteria.

Diana's preparations for Miss World included getting a skin care regime by Dr Jamuna Pai, getting make-up and hair lessons from Bharat and Doris Godambe, smile instructions by the ministrations of Dr Sandesh Mayekar and getting a fitness regime by Mickey Mehta and Shamaik Davar. While most of the contestants confessed to going on an eating spree in Seychelles and not being particularly careful of their fitness regimen during the days of the pageant, Diana was the only one who stuck to her no-sugar, no-milk diet of fruits and vegetables.

She ran her own celebrity management company in Mumbai and has formerly handled the careers of Anaida and Mehnaz. Reportedly, it was at the assertion of Anaida that she even considered competing for the Femina Miss India title.
