Donald Trump is planning a sale of his 49 percent stake in the Miss Universe Organisation

The real estate mogul, Donald Trump is in news again. This time, thankfully not for any “remarkable” reasons, but for something newsworthy. According to sources, Donald Trump is planning a sale of his 49 percent stake in the Miss Universe Organisation. The reason for sale is that many parties are approaching him with lucrative offers after NBC and Univision dumped the pageants owned by Mr. Donald Trump after his comments on Mexico.

Since NBC refused to air the Miss USA pageant, as scheduled, on July 12, the pageant garnered just 925,000 viewers on Reelz, down sharply from the 5.6 million viewers who watched the show on NBC in 2014, according to Nielsen data. While Trump didn’t start the Miss USA pageant, he did come up with the idea of turning the pageant into franchise business. Now the franchisees will have a harder time to get participants if the show’s future is gloomy, as it is now.  The pageant is trying to sign up sponsors and contestants who pay tto participate. “There have been some [local] sponsors that showed concern,” said actress Shanna Moakler, who also runs the Nevada Miss USA and Miss Teen pageants.

Shanna also added that it would be best if Mister Donald Trump sells his stakes soon, so that Miss Universe pageant can rebound.  Shanna is herself a former Miss USA and has mexican roots.  She does not support the comments by Donald Trump on Mexicans (he said Mexico is sending druggists and rapists to the United States), but supports the pageant and the women who choose to be a part of it. Looks ike Trum is al set to ditch the tiara.
