24 year old Cherese James has been appointed as Miss United Continents Guyana 2015 and will now travel to Guayaquil, Ecuador to compete in the 2015 edition of Miss United Continents. With the selection of Cherese as the representative, Guyana will make its debut in the Miss United Continent this year. The finals of Miss United Continents 2015, which is scheduled to be held on September 12’ 2015, will see the participation of different countries from all over the world battling out in the evening gown, swimsuit, interview and national costume round.

Cherese Jamees was born at the GPHC and raised in Region # 3 of Guyana and migrated to the USA at fifteen where she continued with her further studies. Currently Cherese is working as a Vascular Surgeon Assistant at the New York Vein Center. She is no stranger to the world of pageantry and competed in the Miss World Guyana 2014 and ebded up as the 4th runner-up, as well as placing in the top five in the Fitness and Talent Fast Track events. James also represented Guyana at the Miss Caribbean United States 2015 pageant and placed 2nd runner-up, earlier this year. She was also awarded with the People’s Choice Award for the competition. James was assigned as the ambassador for the "Guyana Association for the Visually Impaired".
