After announcing the delegates for most of the major pageants through Binibining Pilipinas 2015, Philippines is all set to announcing its representative for the Miss World 2015 pageant. CQ Global Quest Inc. And ALV Productions, the organiser of Miss World Philippines announced that they have commenced the search for this year’s group of candidates.
According to sources, the official search for the Miss World Philippines 2015 contestants will take place on July 23’ 2015, with a general screening to take place on September 7 and the final screening on September 8. The winner of Miss World Philippines 2015 will be the official representative of Philippines at the Miss World 2015 pageant.
The national director of the pageant, Cory Quirino said that she is confident that the Philippines will do well in this year’s competition. “If we have our first Miss World in the name of Megan Young, 2013, then this only serves as inspiration to aspire for the Miss World crown once again for our country,” said Cory.
This year, the winner of Miss World Philippines will get trained and also learn some important guidelines about preparing at the Miss World, from none other than Megan Young herself. Megan Young won the Miss World title in the year 2013 for Philippines in Bali, Indonesia. And last year’s representative, Valerie Weigmann was among the Top25 finalists at the Miss World 2015. Philippines has been doing consistently well at the pageant with Gwendoline Ruais finishing as the First Runner-up at the Miss World 2011 and Queneerich Rehman reaching the Top 8 finalists list in 2012 Miss World.
