18 year old Emily Chung Yee Yen, hailing from Inanam was crowned Miss Sabah Earth 2015 at the grand slam finale of the beauty pageant held on the eve of Sunday. Emily also won the subsidiary titles of the Most Popular by Audience Choice and Body Beautiful.
In addition to winning the crown, Emily also walked away with RM2,500 cash prize, a trophy, a return air ticket from Kota Kinabalu to Kuala Lumpur and a sash for the main title, along with RM1,300 cash prize in total for the subsidiary titles. At the same event, the title of Miss Sabah Earth – Air 2015 was won by Felcy Francsie Julian, 18, from Penampang ; Miss Sabah Earth – Water 2015 went to Sanjeda John, 23 from Kota Kinabalu and Miss Sabah Earth – Fire 2015 was awarded to Annatasha Shanty Jeremiah, 18, from Penampang.

Sanjeda, Miss Sabah Earth –Water, also won the Special Award for the Best in Evening Gown which comes with RM800 cash prize. There were a total of 12 finalists who competed for the crown. The finalists made their first appearance for the night with eco wear and introduction of themselves, followed by beach wear in the second round. The third and final round included the evening gown competition, wherein the finalists walked the ramp in their respective elegant and serene evening gowns, winning the hearts of the judges and the crowd.

The top four winners, Emily, Felcy, Sanjeda and Annatasha, will represent Sabah in the Miss Malaysia Earth 2015 pageant in Ipoh on August 9. The finale which was held on Sunday night, was graced by the Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister, Datuk Edward Yong Oui Fah, and his wife, Datin Mary Wong.
