2015 has bid good bye and 2016 is knocking door with enthusiasm and positivity. The national pageant organizers all around the world have started their search for their next representatives to international pageants. Meanwhile Trinidad and Tobago has also come forward with its quest for next Miss World representative.

The Miss World Trinidad and Tobago organization is now accepting applications to select its Miss World Trinidad and Tobago. The application form clearly states the agenda of Miss World organization stating that the contestants will be judged on the basis of sports segment, top model segment and talent segment. The application guidelines also highlight that Miss World raises the most amount of money for charity than any other organization around the world.

Entries for Miss World Trinidad and Tobago are Now Open

The Miss World Trinidad & Tobago Pageant also known currently as Miss Oneness Trinidad & Tobago has been held annually since 1966. Giselle Jeanne-Marie Laronde became the first woman from Trinidad and Tobago to be victorious in the Miss World pageant, aged 23, on 13 November 1986, in London, England. Although the date for the grand finale is yet not declared it seems that the organization is quiet serious about its placement in the coming edition of Miss World. Unlike last year, where the finale was held in late July, this year the competition is going to be scheduled quite early so that the winner gets enough time to prepare herself for the Miss World pageant.

Last year Kimberly Farah Singh from Tabaquite represented Trinidad and Tobago at Miss World 2015. Kimberly reached the destination after one week of the Miss World commencement and could not make the cut to quarter finals in the finale. Trinidad and Tobago has recently performed quite well at Miss World. Valene Maharaj became 3rd Runner-up along with winning the title of Miss World Caribbean in 2007. Gabrielle Walcott was adjudged as 2nd Runner-up and Miss World Caribbean along with winning Beauty With a Purpose title in 2008. The last time Trinidad and Tobago placed at Miss World was in year 2014 with Sarah Jane Waddell becoming one of the Top 25 quarter finalists. Trinidad and Tobago has only one Miss World till date with Giselle Laronde who was crowned as Miss World 1986 along with winning the Continental Title of Miss World Americas.

This year would be equally exciting to witness a new queen who would be addressed as Trinidad and Tobago at Miss World 2016.
