The former owner of one of the Big 4 pageants in the world, Miss Universe, Donald Trump, has won the elections for the presidential seat of the United States of America, thus, claiming his place as the 45th President of the country.

Donald Trump was the owner of Miss Universe, Inc., from 1996 to 2015. He has been in the news with a number of controversies surrounding him before and after the start of the elections. Trump represented the Republican Party at the 2016 U.S. Elections.

Trump, throughout his election journey had to face many opponents who did not leave a chance to point his blunt remarks and brutally honest opinions. The controversies related to the remarks made on Miss Universe 1996 Alicia Machado and about Mexican immigrants, were once again brought to light, and created a lot of backlash for the candidate.

Among all the negative remarks, the Republican Party managed to receive some love from their supporters and mark their victory with the minimum requirement of 270 electoral votes. The final voting will be done on December 19th 2016. The votes are expected to be in the favour of Donald Trump. In this case, Trump will commence his role as the 45th President of the United States of America from January 20th 2016.
