25 year-old Kadia Turnbull has been elected as British Virgin Islands’ representative to Miss World 2016 pageant. She will represent BVI at the Miss World 2016 pageant scheduled to be held on 18th December 2016 as Washington DC.

A model by profession, Kadia has bright chances at the pageant also because of her advocacy efforts and her good knowledge of arts and marketing. The chairman of the Miss World BVI, Damian Grange, has high hopes from Kadia and they believe that the beauty is going to make the country proud.

Damian Grange said that initially a pageant was to be conducted, and three contestants even showed interest. But one of the contestants couldn’t compete “because of personal reasons”.

“With two contestants remaining, we did not see hosting a pageant and incurring the cost associated as a viable option, especially considering that we are a somewhat new organization. Therefore, the decision was made to interview the two contestants and select a winner – as was done in previous years,” said Grange.

Fans too are excited about the Kadia Turnbull competing at Miss World this year. Many claim that she is among the strongest contenders BVI has ever sent.
