Bojana Bojanic is all set to represent Serbia in Miss Supranational 2017. As she is preparing herself for the big event, she finds time to share her thoughts, experiences and aspirations in the world of beauty pageants in an exclusive interview with Angelopedia.

Q. How does it feel to represent Serbia in Miss Supranational 2017?

It’s such an honour to represent the beauty of my country at a prestigious pageant like Miss Supranational.  I am happy that a contest is in Europe, so my family and friends will be able to come and cheer for me.

Q. How are you preparing for Miss Supranational 2017?

Miss Supranational is one of the biggest events in my life. I am a perfectionist and I want to prepare myself to the maximum. Recently, I participated in a fashion show showcasing works of the most famous Serbian designers, and soon I will travel to India where I will promote my title and Serbia. I am trying to stay true to myself, yet always open to learn and improve. I work hard and I never give up on my dreams.

Q. Would you like to share your feelings on not participating in Miss Universe 2017?

I have to admit that I am very sorry that I will not participate in Miss Universe. But on the other hand, I am very thankful to have the opportunity to go to Miss Supranational! They say “when one door closes, a new and much better one opens“.

Q. What inspired you to become a model and enter beauty pageants?

I have been in the world of fashion since I was eight years old. And I was always interested in the beauty contests, so at the recommendation of my mother, I decided to apply for Miss Serbia. For me, Miss Supranational is a great promotion for young girls, their cultures and ideas how to positively influence the changes in the world.

Q. What is the most important lesson you have learned from your modelling career?

I learned that being confident is the key to life. Don't be afraid to be you! I am super different from a lot of girls in style and personality, and I am OK with it. And if you are OK with it, everyone else will be too.  Just be and love yourself!

Q. What do you aspire to become in life?

My biggest wish is to become a police officer, to stop criminals and murders. My late father was a soldier, my mom is a member of police; and since I was three, I knew what I want to be when I grow up! And of course, there is a big wish to become Miss Supranational 2017 and to show the beauty of my country!

Q. You have been actively involved in humanitarian causes. What inspires you to do so?

I accidentally started charity work by watching TV shows where they were saying that children need financial help. Then I looked at my little brother and wondered what would I do if he needed that kind of help. I realized that I must help as much as I can. Then I organized a charity fashion show. When the money was collected, I received a call from the mother of little Sara. Her family made a decision for her to first hear my voice after surgery. It was the most emotional moment in my life.

Q. How do you react to media associating you with different people in a romantic relationship?

I really don’t like to talk about my private life in public. Medias exist to write and sell papers and they just have to write about someone. I don’t pay any attention to it.

Q. What is that one thing you love the most in life?

I love my family the most! They are my biggest support, my reliance and my motivation. They will forever be my number one. I admire my mom and dad and I would love to accomplish their expectations!

Q. If you win the title of Miss Supranational 2017, what is the first thing you would like to do or change?

It would be a great honour to win the title. I would like to talk more about the problems of woman abuse and the difficulties of the treatment of children with rare diseases.

Q. What suggestions would you like to give to aspiring beauty queens?

My mom once said to me, 'Work hard and be patient.' It was the best advice she ever gave me. You have to put the hours in. And also, be happy for this moment. This moment is your life.

Q. What message would you like to give to your fans on Angelopedia?

I would like to thank them for a big support and motivation they are giving me. That amount of love that I am receiving from them makes me give all of myself and to show them they were right in trusting me!
