Femina Miss India 2018 is about to begin as the registrations are already open for the interested candidates and the state auditions will begin from 9th February 2018.

This is the 55th edition of Femina Miss India pageant and a total of 30 candidates from 30 states will be chosen as the finalists for the main competition. The organizers are searching all over India for the best of the best.

The main winner of the competition represents India in Miss World while the other Top 6 finalists represent India in pageants like Miss Grand International, Miss Intercontinental, and Miss United Continents.

The selection procedure includes the selection of girls for state zonal where the winner will be selected to represent her state in Femina Miss India national contest.

Here’s the eligibility criterion to apply for the contest –

·       Height (5'5" and above) and 18-25 of age (25 as of 31st December 2018)

·       Single, Unmarried and Not Engaged

·       Indian Passport Holder/Overseas Indian Citizen

·       26 & 27 years old can only compete for the Runner-up positions as the eligibility for Miss World is 18-25

·       Citizen of India who holds an Indian passport and has temporarily immigrated to another country for six months or more for employment, residence, education or any other purpose.

·       Overseas Citizenship of India [OCI] cardholder, the citizens who come under this category enjoy all the rights of an Indian citizen as any other citizen holding an Indian passport. OCI Cardholder cannot be the winner of Miss India but can only be the first or second runners-up and can represent India at other International Pageants.

·       There would be NO Bikini/Swimwear round during auditions.

After Femina Miss India 2017 Manushi Chhillar has bagged the title of Miss World 2017, it has become even more imperative to crown a candidate who can successfully continue Manushi’s legacy and bring more glory to India. The whole nation along with the world is waiting to see who Manushi will crown as her successor this year at the Miss Femina India grand coronation night.
