Miss Grand International 2017 Maria Jose Lora has finally returned home to Peru after a long wait of more than 4 months since her crowning in October 2017. She came home to a thunderous homecoming as she put the foot at Jorge Chávez International Airport, Lima Peru on 4th February 2018. Maria was accompanied by President of Miss Grand International Organization, Nawat Itsaragrisil.

People were eager to welcome Maria and they accumulated at the airport lobby holding flags and posters while they cheered loud for the queen. Maria didn’t disappoint anyone as she greeted everyone warmly and also clicked selfies with many.

Maria’s mother was also present at the airport to greet her daughter and it was a lovely moment when Maria hugged her mother. Looking adorable in a white suit and a complementing red crop top, Maria wore her crown with pride as she addressed all. The environment at the airport was full of energy and cheer.

Maria seemed really excited about her trip back to her country and was seen sharing her exhilaration on her official Instagram. On arrival, she shared her love for her countrymen through this message –

“Thanks to every one of you for your wait, and for such a warm welcome. For all the love you show me, for the cute poster and all your cute gestures. I do not have words to thank you for so much love! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!”

Currently, Maria is enjoying a splendid time attending the photoshoot for the cover of magazine "ELLOS & ELLAS" where she adorns sizzling swimwear. She also had lunch with Jessica Newton, President of Miss Peru Organization and her fellow Peruvian queen sisters and we can’t our excitement about her further events and activities in Peru.
