Rodrigo Duterte is not new to controversies and the unacceptable rape jokes he makes has drawn a lot of hatred; as this time he targeted Miss Universe beauties. A Provocative one and absolutely rubbish remark has made him the controversy king of all time.

What I don’t like are kids [being raped],” Mr. Duterte said at a tourism event in Davao City Friday night.

“You can mess with, maybe a Miss Universe. Maybe I will even congratulate you for having the balls to rape somebody when you know you are going to die,” he added.

The president made this joke after the successful hosting of Miss Universe in January with officials signifying the probability of hosting the next pageant in November again.

The controversial remark comes just two months after the president joked that Filipino troops in the city of Marawi could rape up to three women before facing any consequences for their actions. This one was not enough when he yet again drew rage for a remark he made during the election campaign last year, in which he said he was angry as he wasn’t the first to have sex with a ‘beautiful’ Australian missionary before she was raped and murdered.

Being on a position which is highly reputable and joking on such sensitive issue is just not acceptable. It is not yet clear whether his comments will affect the nation’s chances of hosting the Miss Universe pageant this year.
