Former Miss Austria Ena Kadic died on Monday evening at 10:30 pm from injuries sustained during a mountain fall while jogging in her home state of Tyrol, as stated by the police.
The 26-year-old had been in a critical condition after plunging off the side of the Bergisel mountain near the city of Innsbruck.
The police launched an investigation, questioning how Kadic fell off a path where she used to jog regularly. She was immediately rushed to the hospital as she was suffering from an extreme head trauma and severe injuries on her lungs and pelvis, due to the 30 metre fall!
She was lifted by an air ambulance to the Innsbruck University Hospital, where the doctors were unable to save her which eventually lead to her death. Prior to her death, she called her brother to make him aware of her injuries.
The beauty queen was crowned Miss Austria in 2013, after which she participated in the Miss World contest in Indonesia. However, post participation in both the pageants the beauty withdrew herself from public life.
Earlier this year she told Seitenblicke magazine: “The media, the events, the parties - that life did not make me so happy.”
