Sushmita Sen, who made headlines after becoming Miss Universe 1994, got the dream start in Bollywood with 1996 released film “Dastak” directed by very acclaimed Mahesh Bhatt. She then went on working with best in the industry like superstar Salman Khan in “Biwi No 1” and with Shah Rukh Khan in “Main Hoon Na”. Sushmita was last seen showing her acting skills in the 2015 Bengali film “Nirbaak”. Now it appears she is gearing up to make a comeback, and may appear on the screen again, if her recent post was any indication, where which she used the word “filming” along with a “Life is magical” caption.
The 44- year-old, who was also seen in films like “Sirf Tum” and “Fiza”, posted a photo with the entire crew. Alongside, she wrote, “A couple of months ago they were all strangers to me, and now, they’re family!!! Life is magical like that!! Look at those smiles, after a long & exhausting day of filming...truly what a spirited team! I love you guys…”. This is not the first time the former beauty queen gave hints of her acting comeback as a few days back; she posted a video flaunting henna on her hands and informed that she was in her vanity van and ready to shoot.
Sushmita Sen took a break from films to take care of her younger daughter Alisah Sen. In a recent interview, she said, "It's not just seeing their first step or first word, that I missed out for Renee. It's their personality development, to witness who they are becoming. I did not sponsor a child. I became a mother. There is a very big difference."
Talking about how she looked at motherhood at Renee's time, she said, "I thought that I have to keep making money, keep paying the bills. My approach to motherhood with Renee was more like a father - the provider. I didn't have the time to be the provider and the nurturer because there was just so much work to do. I literally had her in a sack, with Chi Chi (Govinda) and David Dhawan holding her on the sets, and I'm giving my shot! I worked like that because I wanted to stay close to her, the best I could."
About her younger daughter Alisah, she said, "I wanted to see her through her formative years. After she turns six, I can look back at working. If my career in films is done by then, so be it. I'll get into business or I'll do something else. But this, I cannot miss."
After her great time in the motherhood and after what she did for both of her children, Sushmita is now ready to comeback as a star as she was. The queen has announced her return to films; however, she didn't reveal the project she is making her comeback with. So, we wish her all the luck for her project.
