Francesca Mifsud has been appointed to represent Malta in Miss Intercontinental 2017 pageant to be held in Mumbai, India in October' 2017. Miss Intercontinental 2017 is the 46th edition of the international pageant. Last year, the pageant was held in Colombo, Sri Lanka when Puerto Rican Heilymar Rosario won the title.
Francesca is not new to the pageant world as she has participated in several modelling campaigns and beauty pageants. She has earlier competed in Miss Universe Malta 2016, where she was amongst the Top 15 finalists. She was also crowned as Best Model of the World Malta 2016 and won the Best Face award in the international pageant Best Model of the World 2016 held in Istanbul, Turkey.
And now, she is all set to represent her country in upcoming Miss Intercontinental 2017 pageant.
On her achievement, she said, “A year has quickly passed by since winning Best Model of the World 2016 alongside Neil Scerri Mr Supranational 2016. Representing Malta in Istanbul Turkey was a dream come true and to top it all off winning Best Face! And now onto the following adventures; London Fashion Week in less than 5 weeks time and Miss Intercontinental 2017, to be held in Mumbai India this coming November. I would like to wish the biggest good luck to all contestant and wish them the very best. And remember hard work is the key to success.”
Francesca is presently studying for a Law degree at the University of Malta. She has been playing basketball for more than 12 years and has represented Malta in a number of tournaments as part of the national basketball team. Her passion for modelling started when her aunt was crowned as the 39th Miss Malta, back in 2002. Even though she was only 6 years old at the time, she was hooked onto the glamour and grace that surrounded beauty pageants.
With her experience gained participating in several pageants, and looking at her recent photo shoots and her readiness for the event, it seems that she is a strong bet from Malta to win this year's Miss Intercontinental.
