Herlene Budol, popularly known as Hipon Girl, was crowned Miss Philippines Tourism 2023 at the finale of Miss Grand Philippines 2023 held last night on 13th July 2023 at the Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines.

Herlene is a Filipino comedian and an actor who was born in Angono, Rizal, Philippines. Herlene used to work as a coffee shop crew member in Angono and an umbrella girl for golf players. After her parents separated, she was raised by her grandparents in Angono.

Herlene has an outstanding track record on Tv. In 2019, she joined a competition in the GMA Network show “Wowowin” called “Willie of Fortune” and became a regular host of the show. She played an overseas Filipino worker in the “Magpakailanman” episode “Yaya Dubai and I”. In 2021, she played Allana Santos in “Stories from the Heart: Never Say Goodbye”. In 2022, she played Rose Vega in the “Magpakailanman”.

In 2022, Herlene graduated from the College of Saint John Paul II in Cainta, Rizal with a bachelor’s degree in tourism management. Not new to the pageantry, she represented Angono at Binibining Pilipinas 2022 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Metro Manila where she placed first runner-up.

In the same year, Herlene was officially appointed as Miss Planet Philippines 2022 but withdrew due to organizational problems. With all of her experience and a strong personality, Herlene will represent the Philippines at Miss Tourism World 2023.
