Herlene Budol, the Philippines’ official representative in the upcoming Miss Planet International pageant, has departed for Uganda. Budol, popularly known as ‘Hipon Girl’, wore a yellow pantsuit as she bid goodbye to her country to bring home the international crown.

The Binibining Pilipinas organization also took to their social media to make the official post as they wrote, “Goodbye for now as Herlene gets ready to say hello to Uganda. Miss Planet International here she comes.”

Budol also wrote that she is prepared to represent her country and bring the crown for Philippines. “With the extremely polished preparation of the team, Freshness and Sir@sirwil75in the coming competition we are all busy and short on time. I hope I can at least enter the Semi finalist, I don't want to enter the dressing room”, she quotes.

At the finale of Binibining Pilipinas 2022, Budol was named first runner up aside from winning most of the minor awards. Thereafter, she was chosen to represent the country in Miss Planet International 2022. Miss Planet International will be held on 19th November 2022 in Kampala, Uganda.
