Huynh Thi Thùy Dunghas been appointed as Miss International Vietnam 2017, and will now compete at Miss International 2017 pageant. She was second runner-up at Miss Vietnam 2016. The 21-year-old is presently studying foreign trade at the Ho Chi Minh City University.
She has also worked as a host for various shows. Huynh has been studying English and Japanese, and has been taking lessons in catwalk. Dung will now travel to Tokyo, Japan to compete in the Miss International 2017 finals in November.
On her selection, she said, “As a mature candidate from Miss Vietnam, I think I have the responsibility to represent the beauty and wisdom of Vietnam at the major and prestigious beauty contests in the world. It is also a privilege for me to try my best to improve myself.”
The country started competing at Miss International pageant in 1995 but is yet to win its first ever Miss International crown. The highest placement for Vietnam came in 2015 when Ph?m Hong Thuy Van won the third runner-up crown. Truong Quynh Mai (1995) and Truong Tri Truc Diem (2011) got successful in bagging a place in Top 15.
