The Miss Maranhao 2015 contest marked the parade of elegance and grace at the Teatro Arthur Azevedo in Sao Luis, as 23 years old Isadora Amorim was crowned as Miss Maranhao 2015. She will now represent Maranhao at the Miss Brasil 2015 pageant. Isadora competed with 26 other girls to clinch the title. Isadora holds a degree in Architecture from the Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation (FAAP) in Sao Paulo and speaks fluent English and Spanish. The event started with the introduction of the 27 contestants, followed by one on one question and answer round, swimsuit round and finally the evening gown session.
Minutes after the crowning, Isadora expressed her joy and said, “It is a great pleasure for me and my family. Winning the title of Miss Maranhao is great honour and pride for me. I had this desire of representing my states since an early age, when I used to accompany my mother to the contests. It is an immense joy.”
The Miss Maranhao contest has been held since 2008 and is organized by Studio Marcio Prado. Larissa Pires, Miss Maranhao 2014 winner reached the top 10 finalists at the Miss Brasil 2014 competition. Miss Brazil 2015 is going to be the 51st edition of the pageant and is to be held on Spetember 27’ 2015. Will Isadora be the one to succeed Melissa Gurgel, Miss Brazil 204 winner?
