The coronation night of Jewel of the Philippines 2018 was held on 30th October 2018 in GT-TOYOTA Asian Cultural Auditorium, Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines. At the conclusion of the event, Maria Divine Angela Veranga was crowned the new winner and will, therefore, represent the Philippines in Jewel of the World to be held next year.
Maria is 25 years of age who has studied Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management at Centro Escolar University Makati. She used to work as a Quality Monitoring Analyst at Open Access Marketing Philippines Inc. Maria succeeds second runner-up of Jewel of the World 2018 Achelle Medrano from the Philippines.

Jewel of the Philippines aims to promote empowerment of women, youth development and welfare of children, thus Maria is the right choice for the Philippines. She is also experienced in the pageant world as has participated in Miss World Philippines 2018 as well as Miss Earth Philippines 2018 and was in Angelopedia’s Top 20 contestants for the Miss Earth Philippines crown this year.
Maria also serves the advocacy of Jewel of the World as its objective is to celebrate the wonders of the multicultural world that we live in. As a tourism student, she is well aware of the cultural diversity that exists nationally as well as internationally.

Jerelleen will represent the Philippines in Miss United Continents 2019 to be held next year. She was also a participant in Bb. Pilipinas 2018 and Miss World Philippines 2018. Rachel will represent her nation in Miss Landscapes International 2019 to be held next year in China in the month of June and Kate Diane will represent The Philippines in Miss Asian Awards 2018 to be held between 15th to 23rd November 2018 in Shanghai, China.
