In a splendid finale of Miss Teen USA 2015 held at Nasau, Bahamas, Katherine Haik from Louisiana was crowned as Miss Teen USA 2015. The beauty queen is just into her 15 and is the youngest Miss Teen USA winner till date. Standing tall at a height of 5’10”, Katherine battled out 14 other contestants from the top 15 slot, competing her way through the evening gown and swimsuit round along with the personal interview session.
Katherine has been the running favourite in the Miss Teen USA 2015 pageant. The finale of the pageant was hosted by former Miss USA Erin Brady and Nick Teplitz. Katherine was crowned by the outgoing queen K Lee Graham. Lee took her final walk as the Miss Teen USA 2014 in a magnificent white flowy gown. The finale was graced by the reigning Miss USA Olivia Jordan and Miss Universe, Paulina Vega, who honoured the winner with sash and flower bouquet. Katherine will now spend her one year as Miss Teen USA 2015 with the Miss Universe and the Miss USA in New York.
At the same event, Melanie Mitchell from California was adjudged as the first runner-up, Jane Axhoj from North Carolina was adjudged as the second runner-up, Hannah Faith Greene from Tennessee was placed as the third runner-up and Sophie Baird from Massachusetts was placed as the fourth runner-up. In addition to announcing the winner and the runners-up Cora King of West Virginia was awarded Miss Congeniality and Christina Stratton of Missouri was awarded Miss Photogenic.
