Katrina Llegado embarks on Miss Universe Philippines 2022 journey

All set for another successful production this year, Miss Universe Philippines organization will host the third edition of the national pageant in April 2022. The organization had recently opened doors for the applications of the aspirants this year and will soon be scheduling the screening as the applications close today.

While many names have been circling around the industry who are rumoured to enter the competition this year, a few divas have stepped forward to confirm their presence in the journey for this edition. One such name that has gained a lot of support already is of Katrina Llegado.

 

 

Representing the Taguig city, Katrina is one of the first delegates confirmed for the national pageant by The Crown Initiative beauty camp. The diva also took to her social media to break the news as she wrote, “Reina of the UNIVERSE. I am so happy to finally announce that I’ll be joining Miss Universe Philippines this year. This has been years in the making and I’m so excited to share my journey and fulfill my dreams with all of you.”

24 years old Katrina hails from Taguig and is a Cum-Laurde graduate from the De La Salle University, Manila with a degree in Financial Management. Not new to pageantry, the diva was crowned as Reina Hispanoamericana Filipina in 2019 and went on to represent the country at the international competition where she was placed as the 5th runner-up.

 

 

Llegado carries herself with utmost grace and poise and has a strong foothold at international platforms. With her personality and experience, the diva will definitely prove to be a strong contender for the national title and she embarks on the journey towards becoming a ‘Phenomenal Woman’.

The reigning queen, Beatrice Luigi Gomez of Cebu City will crown her successor at the end of the event. At the Miss Universe 2021 pageant, Beatrice lived up to the expectations and made her country proud with a higly appreciated and stellar top 5 placement at the end of the event. This year’s national winner will represent the Philippines at the Miss Universe 2022 pageant.
