Miss Kansas 2017 is Krystian Fish of Wichita. She was crowned on Saturday night at the finals of the Miss Kansas Pageant in Pratt. Krystian Fish competed at the pageant as ‘Miss Heart of the Midwest’. Krystian Fish is from Witchita town in Kansas.
She will now represent her state at the Miss America competition 2018, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on September10, 2017. The event will be broadcasted by the American Broadcasting Company (ABC). Miss America 2017 and Miss Arkansas 2016, Savvy Shields, will officially crown her successor.
Presently, she is advocating for people with Disabilities. The beauty is also a contributor for the Mighty, and founder of the “Be Unstoppable Campaign.”
When Savvy Shields was crowned as Miss America 2017, her first interview was the press conference immediately following the crowning in which she said, (and I roughly quote) “I am the collection of everyone I encounter” and after getting inspired from her, Krystian further quoted, “I thought that was such a beautiful thing to say, but last week it became something I realized was true in my own life because it is a large collection of individuals that have made me who I am.”
She also paid gratitude to her parents who raised her and encouraged her along the way and said, “It is my spiritual leaders, mentors, and pastors who have asked me the tough questions and helped me grow in my faith, it’s all of my friends with disabilities that have taught me thousands of life lessons along the way and lastly my amazing friends that support me and say, “how can I help.”
