At the conclusion of the finale of Beauty of Russia 2016, 18 year old Lada Akimova was crowned as the winner. Hailing from Ekaterinburg, Lada will now represent Russia at the Miss Earth 2017 pageant.

A total of 30 beauties from all across Russia participated for the title. The gala finale was held in ICON Moscow club. The finale went through various Preliminary Rounds – including the Talent contest, the Question and Answer round, fashion show and the swimsuit round. Lada was able to defeat all the other aspirants to clinch the coveted title.
Lada impressed the judges with her answer during the final question and answer round. She was asked what the winner of the pageant should be like, to which Lada answered that whoever will win “must be multi-faceted, and accommodate all the four elements – fire, water, earth, air”. She also added that the one representing Russia at Miss Earth pageant should be “passionate and to be able to adjust under pressure”.
Lada was in tears when she was announced as the winner and later also revealed that her parents couldn’t attend the event and had to celebrate their happiness with livestream broadcast. The newly crowned beauty is interested in sports and music and is currently studying at Ural State Mining University.
