Leren Mae Bautista runs for council race in Los Baños

After an outstanding journey at the Miss Universe Philippines, the stunning Laguna beauty, Leren Mae Bautista has begun her political journey after announcing her retirement from pageantry after the coronation ceremony of last year’s edition.

The former beauty queen is currently leading the council race in Los Baños, based on partial and unofficial tallies. Leren garnered 25,345 votes, ranking first among 32 candidates for councilor in Los Baños' lone district. In a recent post on social media, Bautista thanked all those who believed in her, and promised to be a good public servant.



"I am grateful to my compatriots in Los Baños who joined and supported my fight as town councilor. I will never waste the vote and trust you have given me. We will serve our town faithfully and truly. It's the beginning of an exciting and unique opportunity to serve you," she said.

The 28 year-old beauty finished in the Top 10 finalists of the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 pageant. Leren has been crowned in several major pageants such as Mutya ng Pilipinas Asia Pacific International 2015 and Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2019. She represented the Philippines at the Miss Tourism Queen of the Year International 2015 were she was crowned as the winner and at The Miss Globe 2019 pageant were she placed as second runner-up.



With her new venture, she hopes to continue to inspire the coming generations. The diva has definitely left a mark and made her country proud. She will always be one of the most successful and loved beauty queens of Philippines.
