The magnificent finale of Miss Kenya 2015 concluded with the crowning of Linda Gatere as the Miss Earth Kenya 2015 at the finals held on August 8’ 2015. She will now represent Kenya at the Miss Earth 2015 pageant. Linda is the fourth year student at Kenyatta University and is pursuing a bachelors degree in Economics and Finance.
She is the wings team member at Redbull Kenya, and has a passion for music, fashion and health. “I am very passionate about what I do. I love my work and I put my heart wholly in everything I choose to do in my life. I am a very determined and ambitious young lady who believes in hard work and going out to get what I want instead of waiting on others to do it for me,” said Linda while introducing herself for the Miss Kenya pageant.
Linda’s Beauty for a cause motto is to create environmental awareness in a bid to reduce mortality based on respiratory problems, infections and cardiovascular diseases that come about due to poor living conditions and living in unhealthy environments. Linda succeeds Lydia Marcella Manani, who represented Kenya at the Miss Earth 2014 pageant. At the same event, Elaine Wairimu Mwangi was crowned Miss Grand Kenya 2015 and Eunice Atien Onyango was crowned Miss International Kenya 2015.
