In a country where pageants are a source of national pride, the birth of another national beauty competition is always a welcome news. Philippines welcomes another title to their nation, Magandang Filipinas, ushering a new era of pageantry, redefining beauty to include social responsibility, advocacy drives and community building thus making it more timely and relevant amidst the challenges being faced by the world due to the pandemic.
Magandang Filipinas is an homage to the Philippines’ beauty not only as a country of breathtaking and scenic natural wonders but also as the home of some of the world’s most beautiful women. A chance for empowered women from all over the country to advocated for the issues close to their hearts and represent themselves at a new stage. The organization is on a look out for a queen who embodies beauty, grace, and unceasing compassion for others. The pageant will be offering the winning queen with a crown and a huge cash prize.
The organization requires its contestants to be a female aged between 18 to 26 years and have a height of at least 170 cm. the candidate should have never been married nor given birth. The aspirants need to submit one headshot and one full body photos along with their age proofs, passports and the complete application form.
The organization will be headed by Eva Psychee Patalinjug as their national director who will be uplifting women to confidently represent themselves. Eva hold the title of Binibining Pilipinas 2018 and has been appointed as National Peace Ambassadress of the Philippines. She takes immense privilege and honor to have been given this role to a fresh yet full of potential Magandang Filipinas pageant.
Eva shared her feelings as she mentioned, “From fulfilling my dreams of becoming a beauty queen, competing internationally, taking up law, and becoming a new mom, this role has made everything full circle. I hope to be able to impart all the learnings I have acquired to aspiring beauty queens. As this is a new pageant, I humbly ask for all your support. The pageant awaits the queens to show the nation their beauty and capability. The organization will be crowning the very first Magandang Filipina on August 8th 2021 at the Panglao Island, Province of Bohol. The deadline for submissions of which is on May 30, 2021 followed by the announcement of official candidates on June 1, 2021.
