Stephanie de Zorzi has been dethroned of her title as Miss Venezuela Earth 2013, and Maira Alexandra Rodríguez has been appointed in lieu to represent Venezuela at the upcoming Miss Earth 2014 pageant to be held on November 29' 2014 in Manila, Philippines.
Maira Alexandra Rodríguez was recently crowned Miss Earth Venezuela 2014 at the finals of the Miss Venezuela 2014 pageant held on October 9' 2014, and was supposed to represent Venezuela at Miss Earth 2015 pageant next year. However, due to dethronement of Stephanie de Zorzi , she will now compete at Miss Earth 2014 instead.

Stephanie was stripped off her title as Miss Venezuela Earth 2013, which was apparently due to her gaining a few more pounds after a modeling job in México, and was consequently replaced with Miss Venezuela Earth 2014 Maira Alexandra Rodríguez.
Maira, who represented the province of Amazonas at Miss Venezuela 2014, won the Miss Earth Venezuela title, and also received the special awards for Miss Confianza (Miss Confidence) and Miss Elegancia (Miss Elegance). The sudden appointment leaves her with very little time to prepare for the international pageant, and she will now need to put in serious efforts to become a strong contender for the Miss Earth 2014 title.
