With the forming of a separate organization of Miss Universe Colombia, speculations began early on as to the fate of Maria Fernanda Aristizábal who won Senorita Colombia 2020 and was supposed to represent Colombia in Miss Universe 2020. Now, with the recent announcement by the organization, it is clear she won’t be representing her country at the international platform anymore.

The new Miss Universe Colombia Org. and their National Director, Natalie Ackermann have given their all to try to convince CNB President Raymundo Angulo to let MaFe go, but ultimately the decision was made. And even though a few days ago there was a phone-call recording where Reymundo agreed that MaFe could go, that was an old phone-call and he ultimately decided not to let her”, it was stated. The organization has announced that the location of their pageant in the future will be Barranquilla, but they have not announced the details.

The highest title for Senorita Colombia will now be Miss International and it will be wonderful to see Maria Fernanda Aristizabal compete at an international stage in 2021. Mariana Jaramillo Córdoba was born in Barranquilla on and is 21 years of age and is a student of International Relations at the Universidad del Norte where she was awarded the Caribbean Pride Scholarship. What has cost the most of her preparation is to leave the candy. Her nationality is a mixture of the Caribbean and Antioquia.

Miss Universe Colombia organization will be hosting a private casting for finding Colombia’s representative for Miss Universe 2020. The pageant fanatics are quite disappointed that Maria’s six months of training will be waste because of this decision. What are your views?
