Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Wishlist: Maria Isabela Galeria

15 Jan 2020 | Priya Bhardwaj

Maria Isabela Galeria began her journey in pageantry as she became an official delegate Binibining Pilipinas 2019 last year at the age of just 20. Even though she was a front runner for the crown, many deemed her ‘too young’ for the national crown. With Miss Universe Philippines hosting its first edition this year, Maria is surely a strong contender for the competition who has made it to our wishlist.

From her last year’s stint, Maria has definitely matured and developed better skills to compete at a national platform again. She currently resides in Manila and has completed her schooling from Matnog National High School. Maria was aware of the struggles and grievances of the general public to gain access to basic healthcare and built a dream to become a doctor. Hence, she took admission in medical college and graduated at the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Centre with a degree in Nursing and is now a registered nurse.

The perfect amalgamation of beauty with brains, Maria wrote her a Wattpad novel called ‘Wrong Number’ when she was only about 14-year-old. The novel later got adapted into a mini-series by TV5. She is an incredible storyteller and a very kind and compassionate person. Apart from this, she is also working as a model and has walked for fashion shows like Manila Fashion Festival and Philippine Fashion Week.

Before Binibining Pilipinas 2019, Maria tried her luck in Miss Mandaluyong 2019 where she finished as the third runner-up. The diva has an ample amount of knowledge about beauty and fashion and is capable to do her own makeup just like a professional makeup artist. With all of her experience in the pageantry and her accomplishments, Maria will surely be a more engaged and matured delegate at a national competition.

The stunning Filipina also often engages herself in philanthropic activities as she is a supporter of creative freedom and innovation and believes in the hard work, integrity and the talent of Filipinos. The beauty wants to inspire and motivate people to do more and help the new generation to realise their dream and make the best version of themselves. She will be the perfect example of hard work, sincerity and dedication towards craft if she decides to participate in Miss Universe Philippines 2020.
