1990 born Emma Wo was crowned Miss Hawaii USA 2015. She will now be representing Hawaii at the Miss USA 2015 pageant. Emma is a model and beauty queen from Honolulu, Hawaii. The contestants were analysed under categories of personal interviews, swimsuit wear and evening gown presentation. The top five finalists were then interviewed by judges on stage.
Emma Wo is a graduate of Punahou School and Scripps College, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Media Studies with honours and minored in English literature. She has also studied abroad at Oxford University and Queen Mary, University of London. In her spare time, she volunteers for the Hawaii Rotary Youth Foundation and serves as a career coach in the YWCA’s Going Places Network.
Previously in the fashion closet at Vogue Magazine in New York City. She writes a fashion blog named TheAlohaBabe.com where she journals her experience as Miss Hawaii USA and her own personal style weekly. She was the second runner-up at the Miss Hawaii Teen USA 2008 pageant.
Wo aspires to own her own PR and marketing firm specializing in fashion. By winning the Miss Hawaii USA competition, Wo earned several prizes and scholarship opportunities. The prize includes a scholarship worth up to $100,000 from Argosy University; and a combination grant and work-study program worth $45,600 from Lindenwood University.
