Amidst all the hush hush of big grand pageants, a national pageant in Czech Republic is slowly and steadily crawling its way. Ceská Miss is an annual national beauty pageant that selects representative for the Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss Earth pageant. Girls from all over the country auditioned for the pageant, and out of the total selected 45 semi finalists, ten finalists have been shortlisted.
The ten shortlisted finalist are Bezdeková Andrea,Dušková Lucie,Hávová Michaela,Kubícková Kristýna,Kotková Natálie,Koštálová Dominika,Kováríková Nikola,Neumanová Vendula,Rezková Adéla &Zdvorilá Šárka.
The finale of Ceská Miss is scheduled to be held on April 2’ 2016.The audition of Ceská Miss 2016 was held at The Wellness Hotel Vista, and the judges for the event were Miss Czech Republic Earth 2014 Nikola Buranská , Miss Czech Republic World 2013 Lucie Kovandová alongside Marcela Krplové,Ivy Kubelková,Libor Boucek & David Gránský.
Czech Republic’s journey at Miss Universe has not been any exciting, with no winner crowned at the pageant from the country. However, in 2006, Tatána Kucharová from Czech Republic won the Miss World title. Tereza Fajksová became the first and only beauty from Czech Republic to win the title of Miss Earth in the year 2012. The Ceská Miss Organization was created in 2005 by Michaela Malácová, winner of Miss Czechoslovakia 1991. Until 2009, the pageant only selected representatives for Miss Universe, but in 2010 the franchise of Miss world was also awarded to Michaela Malácová.
