Mexicana Universal Puebla 2017 crowned its first queen Montse Curis at the event finale held on 24th February 2018. She is going to represent her province at the upcoming Mexicana Universal 2018. The winner of Mexicana Universal 2018 will get the opportunity to represent her country at Miss Universe 2018.
Montserrat Curis aka Montse Curis is 21 years old and stands 172 cm tall. She is a model and currently a student of Tourist Administration by the Ibero Puebla. Montse is not new to the world of pageantry as she was also a substitute in Nuestra Belleza Puebla 2015.
Lupita Jones, the national director of Mexicana Universal and Miss Universe Mexico 2016 Kristal Silva also graced the finale night with their presence and sane advice.

Gracias a la organización, nacional y estatal, por esta noche tan importante y tan grande, por tanto apoyo, cariño y confianza. Gran orgullo el ser portadora de esta corona y poder representar a mi estado, prueba de tanto esfuerzo, dedicación y perseverancia. Este solo fue el primer escalón, vamos a por la nacional y a dejar a México en alto, a demostrar de lo que l@s mexican@s somos capaces, y a lograr todas esas metas que nos vayamos proponiendo día con día, a demostrar que cuando uno quiere, se puede.
